The genre changes, but the formula remains the same: (1) Take an existing Asian movie. (2) Add new scenes of white people. (3) Sell the new cut-and-paste film internationally.

Usually those white people played ninjas, which were all the rage when this Hong Kong recipe was a favorite in the ’80s. But when the producers at IFD got their hands on 1983’s rubber monster horror flick “Snake Woman,” they decided to turn Richard Harrison from a shinobi into a somewhat reluctant witch hunter (trailer NSFW):
